About the Recipe
This smoky BBQ bacon burger is the true American classic — juicy beef patty, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese and bold smoky BBQ sauce. Perfect for grill sessions, house parties or game night! One bite and you get sweet, smoky, tangy & savory flavors together.
Ingredients
- 400g ground beef (80% meat, 20% fat)
- 4 strips smoked bacon
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 burger buns (brioche style recommended)
- 2 tbsp smoky BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1 onion ring or finely chopped onion
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato slice
- Salt & black pepper
- Butter/oil for toasting buns
Instructions
- Prep the Patties: Season beef with salt & pepper. Form two thick patties and make a small indent in the center with your thumb (this prevents swelling).
- Cook the Bacon: Fry bacon strips until crispy. Set aside.
- Cook the Patty: Heat pan/grill to high heat and cook patties 3-4 mins each side. In the last minute add cheddar slices on top and cover so it melts perfectly.
- Toast the Buns: Spread butter on buns and lightly toast until golden.
- Assemble the Burger: Bottom bun → mayo → lettuce → patty with cheese → crispy bacon → onion → tomato → BBQ sauce → top bun.
- Serve: Press gently and enjoy hot with fries and extra BBQ sauce!
This burger packs smokiness from bacon + BBQ sauce, creaminess from cheddar, and perfect juicy beef. Every bite tastes like a real American diner.
